Fire Academy EMT

LDISD has partnered with the Lake Cities Fire Department and the North Central Texas College to provide a firefighter and emergency medical technician program for students at LDHS.

LDHS Fire Academy is a two year, dual credit program with courses starting at the beginning of junior year and concluding at the end of senior year.  Classes are taught by NCTC instructors who are trained and licensed firefighters.  Students who have met all the academic and physical requirements of the program will take the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Certification exam and the National Registry EMT Certification exam.
