Inclement Weather Information

Lake Dallas ISD continuously monitors local weather conditions and will post any potential weather related announcements on the district website as well as the district's Twitter and Facebook accounts. The decision to close schools based on inclement weather is made when possible by 5:30 a.m. 

Families will be directly contacted regarding any inclement weather closings, through both an email message and phone call. Additionally, school closing decisions are reported on the district homepage, district Twitter account, district Facebook page as well as local television news stations such as KDFW TV (Fox) Channel 4, KXAS TV (NBC) Channel 5, WFAA TV (ABC) Channel 8 and KTVT TV (CBS) Channel 11. Please be aware that media outlets only inform viewers and listeners of those school districts that are either starting school late or canceling school. If no information is given, Lake Dallas ISD will start as scheduled.

Please be sure to have your current contact information updated in Skyward Family Access to ensure you receive direct messages from the school district. If you have unsubscribed from messages in the past, you will not receive inclement weather closing announcements.
