The purpose of counselors is to empower all learners to lead satisfying and productive lives by assisting them in identifying and achieving educational, career, personal and social goals. Our department works on a cooperative level involving students, staff members, parents and the community. We are here to help. We look forward to getting to know each student and helping them to make the best possible use of the rich opportunities available at LakeDallas High School.
The Mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nonprofit agency that coordinates and provides services to help young people overcome barriers, succeed in school, and prepare for life. There are many components to CIS including educational enhancement, mental and behavioral health services, enrichment activities, mentoring programs, health and human services, college/career preparation, parental involvement, and supportive guidance. All services are free.
The school must receive this completed form and any required documentation within three (3) school days of your child's return to school. Please only one student absence per form.
Note: Please remember that student attendance is crucial to learning and their success. We do ask that appointments are scheduled outside of the regular school hours as much as reasonably possible.
